Argo

The RSU Fine Arts Film series presents a pre-DVD viewing of Golden Globe winner for Best Picture, Argo. Based on the true story of the 1979 Iran hostage crisis Argo has won critical acclaim and is being called one of the best films of 2012. Directed by Ben Affleck the film has garnered many awards, including a Golden Globe for Best Picture, as well as Best Director for Ben Affleck.

“The RSU Fine Arts Films series seeks to bring in interesting films that have a high artistic merit” says Dr. Hugh Foley, RSU professor and one of the Fine Arts Film organizers. “I choose films for the series by being aware of new and important movies, as well by talking with colleagues and students about what they think might be a good fit for campus.” Be sure to witness this instant classic, February 13th at 7pm in the Will Rogers Auditorium.

The RSU Fine Arts Film Series has presented an eclectic group of films including Leaves of Grass, 3 Idiots, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, and even Katy Perry: Part of Me. The series is presented by Rogers State University in an effort to enrich students and community memebers through films of artistic and/or social relevance.
